No vague claims. Just the numbers.
Source: K6 Digital / Berg PC engagement, 2024–2025
Client: A Houston-based commercial litigation firm
What we did: Full website rebuild, domain migration, SEO strategy, and content development to launch a new practice area — cryptocurrency fraud and recovery litigation
Engagement window: 2024–2025, ongoing
The situation
The client wanted to move into crypto fraud and recovery litigation, a fast-growing niche with almost no established players yet. That represented opportunity, but it came with real challenges: no existing rankings, no content, and no domain history to build on. On top of that, the firm was mid-rebrand, which meant a brand-new website and domain launching at the same time as the new practice area.
We also had to solve a content problem: most people searching for a crypto-fraud attorney have just lost money and have no idea how blockchain investigations, asset tracing, or recovery litigation actually work. The content had to educate a frightened, confused reader before it could convert one.
What we did
Rebuilt the site right, from day one. Clean URL structure, schema markup, fast mobile-friendly pages, and a navigation structure built around how someone actually searches for this kind of help.
Went deep on the subject matter instead of writing around it. We worked directly with the managing partner to understand how these scams actually happen, what victims are afraid of, and what the recovery process really looks like. We dug deep into actual case studies and talked extensively about the audience that the firm was trying to reach. These conversations turned into a set of plain-English resource pages that explained blockchain forensics and recovery options to non-technical readers, something almost nobody else in the space had bothered to do well.
Ran a full SEO program, not a one-time push. National and local targeting, ongoing keyword expansion as the crypto-fraud space evolved, and backlink and authority work to support a domain with zero prior history.
Optimized for AI search alongside traditional search. As ChatGPT and similar tools became a real research step for people looking for legal help, we structured the client’s content so those platforms could find it, understand it, and recommend it.
The numbers
- 865+ total crypto litigation leads across the legacy site and the new domain
- 686 leads in 6.5 months after the new site launched (May–November 2025)
- 179 leads from the previous site while the crypto content build-out was underway
- 38% conversion rate on early crypto lead forms — well above the 1–5% industry norm for legal lead forms
- #1 national rankings for competitive terms including “cryptocurrency fraud attorney,” “crypto scam lawyer,” and “crypto recovery lawyer”
- 250+ sessions and roughly 50 leads from ChatGPT referrals — making AI search the highest-converting traffic source in the entire campaign
Why this matters beyond legal marketing
We didn’t set out to prove anything about AI search, but that happened anyway. The AI-referral numbers are a genuinely useful data point for any owner or marketing director wondering whether GEO/AEO is worth taking seriously right now, in any industry.
For this legal client, traffic coming from an AI answer converted better than traffic from anywhere else. That is a reality of customer behavior, with real results, happening right now.
It’s also a good example of why we don’t run one-size-fits-all playbooks. Crypto litigation content, a manufacturer’s spec pages, and a heat-treating furnace company’s service pages don’t look anything alike.
But the underlying discipline (concrete, specific, well-structured content that both a human and an AI system can actually use) is the same no matter the industry.
